Guinea Pig Cages purchased from pet stores are expensive and most do not provide the space needed by a full grown Guinea pig.
As a result, Many Cavy owners build their own cages from wire grids that are sold in many retail stores.
The Grids come as 14inch x 14 inch squares, in a variety of colors.
Corrugated Plastic sign material.(Coroplast) is used for the sides and bottom of the cage, as shown below.

Sign Material shown here is beige, but comes in several colors including: blue, red, green yellow, orange clear and others.
Cage Complete (Blow are the details)
The Cage is just a but over 2 feet wide by 4 feet long and 16 inches tall.
The sides are made from two wire racks bought at dasio that measure 2 ft. x 16 inches.

The sides and the floor of the loft are made from one wire rack 2ftx 16 inches.

The inside upper railing is made from a single 2ft. x 71/4 inch rack bent to create the opening.
With the racks I am using this gives just enough height underneath to fit the pigloos/

The ramp is made from a single 2ft x 16 inch rack that has been bent.

The material used for the bottom of the cage is Coroplast also known as corrugated plastic sign material.

The Coroplast is measured to fit then scored, allowing for and additional six inches for the sides.

Cut through on one side to create tabs and fold together into a box.

The cost of each 2x16inch wire grid was $2.00 ( total of 8 used)
The cost of each 7 1/4 inch grid was $1.50 (1 used)
The cost of an 8 foot x 4 foot Coroplast sheet $13.00

Total area of the cage is aprox 10 sq feet with the loft added.
