Happy New Year

Happy New Year
Ok, I'm a little late, but I still can';t get over the fact that Christmas is over already!!!!
Tomorrow is sunday, and the next day the kids go back to school , and we never even finished watching the Christmas movies this year.
We didn't even see "A Christmas Story".  Not once!
I want a do-over.. lets all back up a little and do the whole thing over again; the presents, the turkey, the ham, the candy (especially the candy) - oh and, this time I want an invite to a new years eve party too.
I haven't been to a new years ever party since I was the DJ working at one.

Which reminds me of the story of 1987/88 new years eve.

I was working at this club up north, and the waitresses has decided to decorate the place with lots of balloons and streamers hanging down from the ceiling.. right. ( Stop me if you've heard this one before )
Of coarse they needed something to tie the streamers to... lucky for them there just happened to be some Neon lights on the ceiling that worked really great for tying stuff to... can you see where this is going?
The midnight countdown comes , everyone counts down..10.. 9 .. 8 etc,,, at the end everyone yells happy new year and I kick off 1988 with a song while the people on the dance floor start pulling down all the streamers... can you guess what came with them? Yup, all that neon shattered and fell directly on my turntables.

Ok so the moral of the story is:
Mixing Drunks and Alcohol with  streamers and Neon, is not such a bright idea.

Re: Happy New Year

I wasn't invited to a party either!  :s2

Guess we might as well face it,  we're old and nobody wants us crashing their party.  :sh
