HD Full Blues

OK, so I'm working on this video that I have been trying to get completed since 2006.
It's a family video of our vacation to disneyland.
I have had a million problems with it because of the various different types of media that I used to create the raw footage IE Digital photo's, digital camera mpg and 8 mm video tape; I haven't been able to get my video editor to print to video all the parts at one time.
I finally did an upgrade and I think I'm getting close to success, but now I'm running out of disk space yikes
Besides that problem, it takes hours to compile the video, and while its doing that my computer memory is completely tied up.
But if that weren't enough, now my left mouse button isn't working right, and will only click on things about half the time :shocked

One of these years I am going to get this video finished ;pl

In pulling my hair out? Yes!!!!
We got a hard drive that was supposedly ide, but turned out to be sata; it seems as though it's impossible to get an ide drive these days. Anyway, today I bought a sata ide converter, my bios recognizes the drive, and my system properties shows that it's there and working, but it doesn't show up in windows, so I can't use it :shocked

Re: HD Full Blues

Ok so I didn't buy the drive from my usual place, plus all the extra stuff that i had to do to make it work, and in the process I forgot one little thing... fdisk.
The drive works now big_smile
I'm not thrilled that you can only have 1 sata drive per ide, I haven't looked to see how many sata inputs are on the new motherboards, but if it's two, that would suck big time.
Anyone know?
