I'd like to join in the fun, if I may.  ;party

My birthday is April 1; my anniversary is May 7.

Favorite colors: lavender or pink
Kitchen colors:  pale blue and green (as in ocean type colors)

Things I like:  Homemade cookies, Gummi bears and Jelly Belly jelly beans, any flavor, natural crystals as well as the glass crystals that you hang in the window.  I adore handmade soap and homemade jams.  I collect heritage-type vegetable seeds too.

Re: 2010 SECRET PEN PAL (Sign up closed)

hey tammy - i haven't decided yet if i can make a year long commitment!!!  i don't want to let anyone down.  smile

BUT i do have a question - if you're in charge of picking the names AND you are entered, doesn't that mean you'll know who has you???  you should have your dh or your daughter draw the names and notify the peoples who they've got.  that way, you won't know who has you.  or something.  yeah.  like that.  OR if you'd like, if i decide not to "play" - i can draw names for you.  you just let me know!

Yes!  I totally agree!  Even her DS could do it!

Re: 2010 SECRET PEN PAL (Sign up closed)

No worries there, I've got someone helping with the names, they'll do half the list (with my name) and I'll do the other half with their name.  smile

I wouldn't even think of sitting out!!!

I would LOVE to do an all crochet swap but I don't want to eliminate those that just don't have a lot of time to crochet or even those who don't know how to crochet   AND  I know most of us don't have time to make anything so that's why it's open to bought or made.    After all, it is the thought that counts!!  smile   So  TC,  surely you can pick up a small item 4 times during the year!!!   wink   :smarty

And giving ya'll an early heads up,  we will be doing the Secret Santa ornament swap again, anything as long as it's handmade.     But it won't interfere with the year long pen pal because it will be over with by Christmas!

Re: 2010 SECRET PEN PAL (Sign up closed)

i still say you should find someone completely unattached to the exchange to do the names and notifications for you...  cuz if you're doing the names, you'll know by elimination who DOESN'T have your name...  but if you're okay with it, that's what's important!!!  i'm just thinking of the element of surprise for you organizers!!!!  big_smile

i am still thinking about it...  i'd love to think i could do it - it's just that time has this way of getting away from me...

eta - it would be hard to not figure out who your pen pal is...  there just aren't that many of us and i couldn't help but notice where my packages came from......  is there a way to keep that kind of thing a secret?  probably not, without paying double the shipping for everything, huh?  like, my shipping it to tammy and then her forwarding it on, for example.  hmmmmmm........
